Health & Safety

Health & Safety is a paramount concern for the Transport Workers Union. It is the chief responsibility of the International’s Health & Safety Department (HSD) and the Health & Safety Task Force (HSTF).  The mission of the HSD and the HSTF is to empower Union Locals' leadership and safety activists to fight for workplaces free of hazards.  This site is designed to provide Locals with information, materials and other Department resources on the main issues that affect the health and wellbeing of TWU members.
