“Some of what they’re doing,” said Gene Russianoff of New York City’s Straphangers Campaign, “borders on the edge of magic.”

Russianoff, a consumer advocate, is a frequent critic of New York City’s Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) executives.  Right now, he’s joining other New Yorkers who are amazed by the efforts of the region’s transit workers – including members of TWU Locals 501, 504, 562, 101, 252, 2001, 106, 1400, Local 100, Locals 225 and 229 in New Jersey, and well at State Conferences throughout our union  – in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
